Unhealthy sleep is linked to many medical problems including heart disease, depression, and lower life expectancy. More than 20% of the American public suffers from chronic sleep disorders. Using a multidisciplinary and patient-centered approach to diagnose and treat the full spectrum of sleep disorders our center is dedicated to improving sleep health.
The University Health Sleep Disorders Center is nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine since 1985. The center also operates a nationally accredited program for training physicians in the practice of sleep medicine, and conducts research to discover new knowledge about sleep disorders.
