University Health's Psychiatry program is the foremost leader in psychiatric care in the region.  Psychiatric services are provided to more than 15,000 patients annually by faculty physicians, residents and staff placing special emphasis on compassionate and comprehensive patient care. University Health anchors a family of clinics and hospitals which include University Health Shreveport and University Health Conway in Monroe, outpatient treatment, psychiatric crisis inpatient treatment, and extended inpatient psychiatric treatment.


Our commitment to mental health research spans nearly two decades and continues to support a vigorous research initiatives. It is our mission to seek new ways to treat and prevent psychiatric illnesses affecting our community.
