University Health Welcomes Dr. William Roy!
University Health Shreveport proudly welcomes Dr. William Roy, M.D., Gynecologic Oncologist. Dr. Roy is Board-Certified in Gynecologic Oncology & Obstetrics and Gynecology and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our hospital. He was recently appointed as an Associate Professor and Chief of Gynecologic Oncology and is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology, and is nationally recognized for his expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic/robotic surgery and for employing advanced techniques in the surgical treatment of advanced ovarian cancers.
Dr. Roy brings 21 years of experience managing cancers of the uterus, ovary, cervix, vagina/vulva, and fallopian tube among others, and complicated benign diseases of the pelvis. Dr. Roy performs a range of procedures including gynecologic cancer screening, robotic-assisted surgery, laparoscopic surgery, hysterectomies, and colposcopies.
